Our Mission
Legal practice in many markets runs on tools designed for somewhere else — software that assumes US billing structures, British court procedure, or European data residency. AkiliLex was built from the ground up to fit how advocates actually work, with first-class support for Kenyan statute and court procedure, and a design language fit for any modern firm.
AkiliLex was built to close that gap. Every feature reflects how legal work actually happens in Kenya — from Advocates Remuneration Order fee scales, to WhatsApp-first client communications, to DPA 2019 consent management.

Chuchi Enterprise Limited is a Kenyan technology company based in Vipingo, Kilifi County. The firm develops practical software for professional services — including hospitality (HotelCompass, SkyHotelier), construction (Jabali Nexus), and now legal practice (AkiliLex).
The Name
Akili is Swahili for intelligence, mind, or wisdom. Lex is Latin for law. The combination signals what we are trying to build: intelligent tooling for the practice of law in Africa.
Our Approach
- Locally grounded. Not adapted from elsewhere — built with first-class support for Kenyan court structure, ARO fee scales, KRA tax compliance, and DPA 2019, with a design language fit for any modern firm.
- Software, not legal advice. We are a tool, not a law firm. Our place is to streamline operations, not to replace the considered judgment of qualified advocates.
- Honest pricing. Per-firm fees, no per-user surcharges, no setup costs.
- Local hosting. All data hosted in Kenya, in compliance with DPA 2019 localisation principles.
- Verifiable output. Every document generated through the platform carries an authenticable seal.
